ABOUT US

In September of 2019 Heartland Technology purchased the building at 591 Young Street. A partnership was formed between Farmers State Bank and Heartland Technology to support the Jesup community through this multi-purpose facility, with co-working offices and off-site space for Jesup Community School District CAPS students and business professionals.

A Co-Working Space is a combination of private and open-area shared office space that will be available to those who drop in or want to rent by the hour, day, or month. These spaces are ideal for local professionals working from home, for those needing an office space to meet clients or customers, or to collaborate with other local professionals in a networking setting. Various education and professional-based programming also will be available in the public space for community members and business professionals alike. “FSB is very excited to work with local business professionals, along with the youth in our community through the CAPS program,” says Angie Sabers, Farmers State Bank Branch Manager. “This new venture gives everyone the opportunity to learn, grow and engage with each other on a professional level.”

CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) is a work-based learning program offering high school students the opportunity to learn and build professional skills, explore various careers, and work on projects for businesses and companies in Jesup and the surrounding area. Students will use skills from a variety of curricular areas while working and studying within the CAPS program. More than 30 students applied to be considered for the first semester of the CAPS program, and 15 were selected to begin in January 2020 (spring semester). “CAPS is a wonderful opportunity that we are excited to bring to Jesup High School,” says Allyson Kitch, Jesup CAPS Instructor. “Students will have the opportunity to be a CAPS associate during their junior or senior years, replacing three elective credits and giving them hands-on opportunities to complete projects for local businesses. Jesup CAPS is an affiliate of CF CAPS so our associates will also be able to complete projects and network with students and community members out of district.”

The remodel was completed in early 2020 and we are eager for the community to enjoy this amazing facility.
